Fucked Up Thursdays @ Dry Bar, Manchester

Fancy something a bit mutha fluffed up different? Fucked Up Thursdays is a night held every... you've guessed it... Thursday at the Dry Bar, Oldham St. Suck My Sound recently went along to see freak folk trio Awash With AntleR (three part harmonies, yelps, manic fiddling, exotic keys, teapots & stomp box), The Bee's Niece (Norweigen singing, musical saw playing, cat & chocolate loving Ranghild, complete with double bass & the glacier sounds of wine glasses) and The Scrotes (Mr Bungle-esq, Wythenshawe massif beef crimps). The night, run by Phil and "old man on the door" (Phil's dad), is well worth a look! Be sure to head for the hidden basement bar. Internet listings are a bit scarce, but luckily there's now a Facebook page -

Kimono Draggin's T-shirt promises they'll "rock your balls clean off". They did just that at Manchester's Star & Garter. All the way from Connecticut, USA, on route to France & Germany, they found time to visit the humble shed abode for tea & biscuits.
