Leanne has landed a proper top media job in London village & will soon leave Manchester's exotic shores. It looks like future Suck My Sound casts may take a more national / international twist. Listen to SMS's last ever live show on WFM 97.2fm on Sat 17th Jan. Lea & Sarah say goodbye to the weekly slot piped via south Manchester airwaves. But fear not! Lea takes on the reins to host a new podcast. Yes, we are moving entirely into the cyber world! That means shed sessions round the kitchen table & video casts. They'll be occasional guest natterers Sarah, Lu, Mr Dennis Gerald & some surprise ones too! The new show will be back sometime in Spring. Fucked Up Thursdays @ Dry Bar, Manchester

Fancy something a bit mutha fluffed up different? Fucked Up Thursdays is a night held every... you've guessed it... Thursday at the Dry Bar, Oldham St. Suck My Sound recently went along to see freak folk trio Awash With AntleR (three part harmonies, yelps, manic fiddling, exotic keys, teapots & stomp box), The Bee's Niece (Norweigen singing, musical saw playing, cat & chocolate loving Ranghild, complete with double bass & the glacier sounds of wine glasses) and The Scrotes (Mr Bungle-esq, Wythenshawe massif beef crimps). The night, run by Phil and "old man on the door" (Phil's dad), is well worth a look! Be sure to head for the hidden basement bar. Internet listings are a bit scarce, but luckily there's now a Facebook page -
